Name: Cara (Daisy)
Breed: Cocker Spaniel
Age: senior
Sex: Male
Cara (Daisy)'s Success Story
Cara (now known as Daisy) was found as a stray and taken to an animal hospital without an adoption program in September 2011 when Underdog ResQ was alerted of her need for rescue. Since Cara is a senior dog, one can only imagine what led to this. She seemed neglected when the animal hospital took her in, with her hair matted and her toenails so long they were curling under her feet. Cara even had to have 17 teeth removed!
After spending just over a month with her foster parents, Cara was adopted. The couple that adopted her live in a beautiful suburban area with big yards and lots of trees in the neighborhood. The area also has a lot of dogs. Cara's new house is beautiful, and she has two beds all to herself so she has a choice as to where she can sleep! Cara's adopters love her so much and take very good care of her.

Name: Bruno
Breed: Pit Bull Mix
Age: Est. DOB 5/11/11
Sex: Male
Bruno's Success Story
Bruno is one of 8 pit bulls from a litter that Underdog ResQ admitted to help get them out of a cage and into a home. He was adopted 3 months later at the age of 5 months. Bruno is very friendly and well socialized with people, kids, and other animals, such as dogs and cats. He loves to play and is very well trained. His new home, as of 9/30/11, is with a lovely young couple, whom have recently purchased their first home. They have a wonderful home with a nice big yard, beautiful deck, and easy access to the park areas. Each of his new owners has previously owned dogs and is very dedicated to their new addition, Bruno. Like most true pet lovers, Bruno has become one of the family in this case. His success in finding a good home will always be remembered

Common misconceptions before adopting a dog: |
|
1. We’re getting Rex for the kids - they will do all the work.
Maybe for the first week or so, but most kids will slack
off soon enough and the responsibility will fall on your laps.
You are considered to be the owner because you are over the age
of 21. If your kids do not walk Rex, then it is up to you that
it gets done. As much as we talk to our kids about responsibility
and as much as they agree to care for your new dog, we all know
that sooner or later most kids will lose interest or get tired.
If you can positively answer these questions and concerns, then you may be
ready to adopt Rex.
