Why was Underdog ResQ created? |
The reality of the homeless dog population is that not all dogs get placed in new homes. Many dogs are euthanized on a daily basis because of space limits, time limits or breed discrimination. The founders of Underdog ResQ, most of whom have participated in the humane community to some capacity, wanted to create a non-profit organization that would not discriminate against any dog because of breed, age or location. |

Where do you get your dogs? |
Underdog ResQ will admit dogs of any breed from shelters that cannot place them due to space issues, time limits or breed discrimination. These are dogs that would have otherwise been euthanized. |

Do you perform behavioral evaluations? |

What are the goals of Underdog ResQ? |
- To rescue dogs from shelters that cannot place them for adoption.
- To increase public awareness of proper pet care, training techniques, breed education and the adoption of homeless animals.
- To strive to work closely with shelters, other rescue groups and humane organizations to help cure the homeless pet problem.
- To continue to learn the latest in training and pet care, while sharing our knowledge with our volunteers and the public.
- To strive to build a large foster care and volunteer program that will allow us to save as many dogs as possible.
- Our future goal is to open our own facility to shelter dogs that are waiting for foster care or new homes. This facility would serve as a temporary home for some of our dogs and also an educational facility.
